Estate Grown blend of Rhone varieties, which typically includes from year to year Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Peloursin and/or Carignan.
This Rhone-style blend is our take on a "GSM" and it features Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and sometimes Carignan, as well Peloursin, a lesser-known and almost extinct Rhone variety which we discovered among the old vines originally planted in our vineyard circa 1895. The floral and fruity Grenache is complemented by the darker, brooding flavors of Syrah and Mourvedre, with Peloursin as the mysterious wild card component you can't quite name.
Some vintages of Terre Melange produce a medium-bodied wine, with a perfect balance of acid and fruit. Others seem to be more "earthy" with aromas of herbs de Provence, perhaps a bit musky, with a deep, rich color.
