The 2020 vintage is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from grapes grown in Alexander Valley. While waiting for more of our own estate vines plantings to mature, we purchased this Alexander Valley fruit from vineyard owner Sedgwick Dienst in the fall of 2020. Our vineyard crew worked closely with him on two separate dates to choose and harvest the best quality grapes from his young hillside vineyard. We think the resulting wine is a good representation of what a classic Alexander Valley Cabernet is all about - intense fruit, smooth and structured tannins, a lingering finish, and the capacity to age gracefully for many years.

The 2021 vintage is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, estate grown here on our property. Although the Cabernet grape is not planted extensively in the Dry Creek Valley, this is one of the first varieties added to our existing vineyard after we first acquired the property in 1979. Ours, currently produced from hearty and vigorous clones 337 and 341, is well-balanced, full-bodied and approachable with moderate tannins and a bright bouquet of dark cherry, spice and oak.
